Webtoon-Based Animated Film Your Letter Opens on October 1 in Korea
Distributor Lotte Entertainment confirmed on August 5 that the feature-length animated film Your Letter based on the webtoon of the same name will premiere in theaters in Korea on October 1. The announcement came alongside the release of a teaser poster and trailer.Your Letter earned a near-perfect 9.98 rating during its webtoon run. The story follows transfer student Sori, who discovers a mysterious letter in her desk drawer. Each clue inside leads her to the next letter, setting her on an unexpected journey.Yong-Hwan Kim is directing the film. The film won three prizes — including the Jury Award for Feature Film, Best Music, and Best Technical Achievement — at the Bucheon International Animation Festival.The film has also earned invitations to the Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) — one of the world's top three animation festivals — and Poland's Animator International Animated Film Festival.
